So far the 2016 tourist season in Greece has exceeded expectations as well as previous year’s levels. Both domestic and international visitors have increased traffic at Athens International Airport (AIA). In May alone the traffic numbers reached 1.8 million passengers, a 8.9 percent increase from 2015. In May there was an increase of 11.7 percent for domestic passengers
