Minister for Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, will travel to Lebanon in order to participate, jointly with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and of Lebanon, Gebran Bassil, in the proceedings of the Trilateral Ministerial Meeting between Greece, Cyprus and Lebanon, which will be held on Wednesday, 10 April 2019. The three Ministers of Foreign Affairs and their delegations will discuss recent developments in the wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean, while they will focus on the possibilities for reinforced cooperation in fields related to security and stability, mutually beneficial economic growth, tourism, as well as education. In the context of the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will also meet, on a bilateral basis, with his Lebanese counterpart, Gebran Bassil. Issues of regional interest will be discussed, while emphasis will be placed upon strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the fields of culture, education, and tourism.
