The Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sia Anagnostopoulou, will co-chair, with the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Yevgeny Ditrikh, the 12th Greek-Russian Joint Interministerial Committee to be held in Thessaloniki tomorrow, Friday, 19 April 2019.The preparatory proceedings of the Joint Interministerial Committee (JIC) are taking place in Thessaloniki today, Thursday, 18 April. The proceedings are expected to cover a wide range of bilateral economic relations (trade relations, rural development, energy, transport, tourism, education, research and technology, telecommunications, ICT, business partnerships, etc.).In the context of the JIC, legal texts that will serve for the further development of relations between the two states will be processed. Agreements concerning the merchant shipping sector and the activity of the Hellenic Organisation for Standardisation (ELOT) are expected to be signed.Following the JIC proceedings, on 19 April, at about 15:00, brief statements will be made to the news media.
