The Greek issue may be discussed informally at the meeting of finance ministers and central banks of the BRICS countries, according to TASS. The Russian news agency report cites a Russian official who is a member of the Russian delegation: “The situation in Greece will not be specifically discussed, but this issue will come up one way or another — it is inevitable. I think that, given the timeliness of the situation it will be mentioned in the speeches,” the source said. The BRICS meeting is to be held today, Tuesday, in Moscow and coincides with the crucial Eurogroup and Eurozone summit that are held in Brussels. In the past months there have been informal discussions between Athens and Russia about the possibility of Greece becoming a member of the BRICS bank. BRICS is composed of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
