It was announced on Wednesday, March 18 that the Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos Kotzias, would be in charge of supervising and coordinating any Greek government actions regarding Greeks abroad. The relevant document, signed by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias was passed in the Greek Parliament after a question was tabled by Golden Dawn MP Christos Pappas. “The Greek Diaspora is a huge national asset for our country. The fact that the responsibility of the supervision and coordination of any activities and initiatives now lies with the Greek Foreign Ministers shows the importance of Greeks abroad to the Greek government,” noted Kotzias in his written reply to Pappas.
