On Friday, August 29, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) released statistical data regarding traffic accidents in Greece. According to the data, road accidents in June 2014 increased by 4%, compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, the number of fatal road accidents in June 2014 show a slight decrease. Specifically, the data shows that in the 1,125 traffic accidents that occurred during this period, 67 people died (13% increase compared to same period in 2013), 102 were seriously injured (22.7% decrease) and 1,211 suffered minor injuries (6% increase).
