Secretary General for Economic Relations and Openness and Chairman of Enterprise Greece, Ioannis Smyrlis, and the head of Z’ Directory-General for Humanitarian and Development Aid, Alexandros Diakopoulos, met today with the Ambassador of Jordan, Ahed Ali Sweidat, with the purpose of donating 150.000 vaccines which will be delivered this evening to the Jordanian authorities by a non-scheduled flight of Royal Jordanian Airlines. Mr. Smyrlis expressed Greece’s readiness to assist the Jordanian people in the fight against the pandemic, while for his part Mr. Sweidat expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Jordanian government. The donation of vaccines to Jordan takes place following the meeting of King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein with the Prime Minister, K. Mitsotakis, in the framework of the work of the trilateral Greece-Cyprus-Jordan Summit.
