Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias met today with His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa.The Minister of Foreign Affairs was briefed by the Patriarch on the extensive work of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, both in Egypt as well as throughout Africa. Social, humanitarian, spiritual, cultural and educational work that is carried out with the assistance of an extensive network of Archdioceses and Dioceses.On his part, Mr. Dendias praised the importance of the activities of the Patriarchate of Alexandria on the African continent as a shining example of the successful presence of Orthodoxy in the region, underlining Greece’s ongoing interest in and support for the Patriarchate’s work.
