Greece condemns the attacks on oil vessels near the Strait of Hormuz off the UAE coast, as well as on oil pumping stations in Saudi Arabia, that took place on the 12th and 14th of May respectively.As a major maritime power, Greece reiterates the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation and maritime safety and security, emphasizing the need to keep shipping lanes in the region open and fully functional. We reaffirm our solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia and we will continue to support efforts towards achieveing a political solution to the crisis in Yemen.
