Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos is travelling to Beijing where he will co-chair the 13 Joint Interministerial Committee with China. Speeding up of the procedures for liberalisation of the Chinese market for Greek agricultural products, shipping and scientific cooperation between the two countries, as well as attracting Chinese investments in Greece, are included among the issues to be discussed. On the margins of the Joint Interministerial Committee, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with the Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Yi, while he will also hold bilateral meetings with Zhong Shan, Minister of Commerce, and Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission. Mr. Christos Lambridis, Secretary General of Ports, Port Policy, and Maritime Investment, will participate in the Greek delegation along with officials from the Hellenic Ministry of Agricultural Development. Mr. Katrougalos will also participate in the formal commencement of proceedings of the annual Summit of the National People’s Congress, where he will meet with officials of the Communist Party of China.
