A short while ago, Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos had a telephone conversation with US Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan. John Sullivan congratulated Giorgos Katrougalos on undertaking his new duties and expressed to him the satisfaction of the US over the conclusion of the Prespa Agreement.Giorgos Katrougalos stressed Greece's role, in cooperation with Cyprus, as a pillar of stability and security in the Western Balkans and the South-eastern Mediterranean. The Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed John Sullivan on the upcoming convocation of the Greece-Cyprus-Israel Trilateral Summit Meeting in Crete. Both men agreed on the importance of strategic dialogue between Greece and the US as well as its further promotion. Giorgos Katrougalos briefed John Sullivan on his participation in the upcoming NATO Summit on 3-4 April 2019 in Washington, on the margins of which further momentum can be provided to the cooperation between Greece and the US.
