Arrivals in last 24 hours brings official count of refugees and migrants stranded in Greece to just over 58,000 Greece’s coastguard has rescued dozens of people whose migrant boat ran aground on a deserted islet south-west of the country, hundreds of miles from the usual entry point for migrants. The boat carrying about 70 people ran aground overnight on the tiny islet of Sapientza, off the south-western tip of the Peloponnese, the coastguard said.
