Thousands have been making the short but dangerous journey to the eastern Greek islands from Turkey, many originally from war-torn Syria. Sky's Jonathan Samuels, who is on Lesbos, said: "It is a crisis situation here. "The coast guard are patrolling the waters around the island - we are only a few miles from Turkey - and they are out in the waters to pick up anyone that gets stranded.
