International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi, European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker and Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbleom held a phone conference on Friday to discuss whether the proposals submitted by the Greek government are sufficient to qualify Greece as eligible for the requested European Stability Mechanism program. The point of the conversation was for the institutions to reach a consensus on their assessment. The result is unknown at the moment. The Eurogroup will convene tomorrow to discuss Greece’s proposals. On Sunday a European Union summit will be held for the same purpose. Sunday is the final opportunity for Greece and its creditors to reach an agreement.
