EU Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici referred to Monday’s Eurogroup meeting and spoke of balanced decisions that allow the start of the technical processing of the proposals with the Greek authorities. Arriving at the ECOFIN meeting, he stressed the need for the list that Greece presented to be implemented through legislative proposals and executive decisions. He also claimed these were actions on a political and technical level that will be carried out in Brussels and Athens. Responding to journalists’ questions, he said that if the term “troika” is not accepted by Greece, “which I can understand and which the Greek government has made clear,” Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis’ letter to Jeroen Dijsselbloem acknowledges the close cooperation with the institutions.
