Greece is Lagging Behind in Digital Age

  Greece ranks third from the bottom in the “Digital Economy and Society Index” survey conducted by the European Commission. Greece is lagging behind in the digital age and it is almost at the bottom among the 29 European Union countries, faring better than Romania and Bulgaria only. In the question “How digital is your country?”, Greece came 27th. Cyprus was in 23rd place. The top of the list is dominated by three Scandinavian countries, with Denmark in first place, followed by Sweden and Finland. How each country fares in the digital age is calculated based on five indicators used by DESI (Digital Economy and Society Index): Connectivity Internet use Human capital Integration of digital technology Digital civil services
