Main opposition SYRIZA leads by 3 percentage points over New Democracy (ND) according to an opinion poll conducted by MARC for private TV ALPHA. The opinion poll showed that SYRIZA was preferred by 28.1 percent of the respondents followed by ND with 25.1 percent. In the third place was the POTAMI with 6.1 percent followed by Golden Dawn with 5.9 percent, the Greek Communist Party with 5.4 percent, PASOK with 4.6 percent, Independent Greeks with 3 percent, Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) with 1.4 percent and Democratic Left (DIMAR) with 1 percent. Of those asked, 6.3 percent said that they will vote for another party, 3.5 percent said they will cast a blank vote while the unidentified votes reached 9.6 percent. The opinion poll was nationwide and was conducted between December 26 and 28 before the third round of Greece ‘s presidential elections. (source: ana-mpa)
