ABUJA, Nigeria (AP) — Joseph Yobo has revived his international career with Nigeria and will travel to his third World Cup after making coach Stephen Keshi's 23-man squad for Brazil.
Defender Yobo said he was retiring after Nigeria won last year's African Cup, but is back in favor and makes the final squad released in the early hours of Tuesday by the football federation.
Midfielder John Obi Mikel and strikers Emmanuel Emenike, Shola Ameobi, Victor Moses and Peter Odemwingie were also picked. But midfielder Sunday Mba was left out after he only joined the squad late for its World Cup preparations because of travel visa problems.
The African champion plays Greece and the United States in final warm-up games before facing Iran, Bosnia and Argentina in the World Cup group stage.
