'Gate to Hell' found in Turkey: Hierapolis temple doorway matches mythical 'portal to the underworld'

The site near Pamukkale in southwestern Turkey, is said to closely match historical descriptions of what was believed to be the entrance to the underworld in Greek and Roman mythology.
