New to the scene … Right beside their Spanish restaurant, Barraca, in the West Village, chef Jesús Nuñez and restaurateur Héctor Sanz have opened up their next venture, Melibea (melibeanyc.com), which features Mediterranean dishes from Greece, Italy and North Africa, including a lamb tagine with couscous, garbanzo beans, dried plums, yogurt and mint.
