Salvador Dali painting stolen from East Side gallery returned, theif arraigned

The theft of a Salvador Dali painting from an East Side gallery was only a bit more surreal than its return. Greek native Phivos Istavrioglou, 29, allegedly swiped Dali’s “Cartel de Don Juan Tenorio,” from Venus Over Manhattan on Madison Ave. in June by stashing it in a shopping bag.
