Greek president and defence minister in Egypt

"My conviction in this crucial period is that the leading role of Egypt is becoming even more decisive," President Papoulias noted at a meeting with Egyptian president Mohamed Morsy, in reference to recent uprisings in the Arab world.

Papoulias flew to Cairo on Thursday for an official visit with new Egyptian president Mohamed Morsy, along with Defence Minister Panagiotopoulos and Deputy Minister Tisiaras.
