U.S. President Barack Obama visited Krün, Germany, on his way to the G7 summit, where he was greeted by alpine horns and men in traditional lederhosen attire. He met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and discussed about the recent developments regarding the Greek bailout negotiations, White House spokesman Josh Earnest told media on Sunday. Obama and Merkel shared the opinion that there is a great necessity for Greece to accelerate its reforms in order to succeed a sustainable long-term growth. According to the spokesman, Obama underlined that the Greek government and its international creditors can work together to find a solution without causing volatility in financial markets.
