European Council President Donald Tusk said on Sunday that the debate on Greece is not only economic but also moral, French newspaper Le Monde reported in an article titled “Ukraine and Greece on the G7 agenda.” Speaking during a joint press conference with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Bavaria, Germany, Tusk said that people have to stop believing that debtors have a “moral” behavior in principle and creditors are “immoral.” The debate on Greece “is not just financial. It is also political and moral,” he was quoted as saying by Le Monde. The issues of Greece and Ukraine are not officially in the G7 agenda but participating leaders are expected to discuss them on the summit’s sidelines. (source: ana-mpa)
