Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Bolaris received a delegation of academics from Polish institutions of higher learning yesterday afternoon, who are carrying out a three-day visit to Greece. The delegation, which was accompanied by Polish Ambassador Anna Barbarzak, her deputy and her collaborator on issues of academic cooperation, is visiting Greece in the context of the initiative “Poland-Greece: Exchange study opportunities Erasmus+ and beyond” in the framework of the Joint Action Plan between Poland and Greece, celebrating the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Mr Bolaris proposed collaboration on an academic, scientific, research, and business level, as well as an exchange of students between Greek and Polish university institutions. On their part, the representatives of the Polish universities briefed the Deputy Minister with regard to the ongoing work and the future prospects for collaboration with Greek institutions of higher learning of the same order. Moreover, the importance placed on publicizing the opportunities and possibilities for inter-university cooperation was stressed.
