Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Bolaris received today Mr Paris Asanakis and Mr. Konstantinos Christoforidis, BoD members of the Imvrian Associations of Athens, in a courtesy meeting. The two representatives briefed the Deputy Minister on the action, planning, as well as the initiatives that have been designed to be undertaken for strengthening the Imvrian Community. The Deputy Minister commended the productive action of the Imvrian Society of Athens and their homeland Imvros, at the same time underscoring the continued interest of the Greek State in supporting the Imvrian Community. He also stressed that the National Minority in Istanbul, Imvros, and Tenedos is, and as such must be approached, a bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
