Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Bolaris met, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Metropolitan Bishop Philoumenos of Pella, Jordan, who is also Abbot of the Holy Monastery of the Cross in Jerusalem, a monastery where the renowned Greek Orthodox Theological School of the Cross once operated. The Metropolitan referred to the efforts to restore and renovate both the Monastery complex as well as the spaces where the Theological School operated, with special care of its historic library. To this end, he requested the assistance of the Greek State. The Deputy Minister, referring to the historic Holy Monastery of the Cross and its Theological School, underscored that the initiative to maintain and restore the emblematic complex is praiseworthy and necessary, a plan that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs views in a positive light and firmly supports.
