Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis met at the Foreign Ministry today, Tuesday, 14 March, with the Head of the Palestinian Diplomatic Representation in Athens, Ambassador Marwan Emile Toubassi. During the meeting, they discussed ways to deepen Greek-Palestinian relations in areas within the Deputy Minister's portfolio and strengthen cooperation on preserving cultural heritage. Mr. Amanatidis stressed our country's ongoing and strong interest in ensuring respect for the Status Quo of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, which, through its age-old presence, is a factor for promoting peaceful coexistence and religious pluralism in the Middle East, while also strengthening our bilateral relations.
