Amidst all the turmoil in Greece over austerity measures the last three years ? strife, protests, strikes, riots, anguish ? there are still scenes of quietude and love, even in the unlikeliest or not-so-private places. Love will find a way, of course, especially the young who embrace every moment of it as if it were their last and Greece is a perfect place for amour, from beaches to mountain tops and parks where a hand-held stroll can take away the detritus of the day. And what better place for a smooch and to let your partner know you care than a view of Athens? Here, a tourist couple share a kiss atop the Areopagus Hill opposite the ancient Acropolis, with the city in the background. They were among the 17 million visitors this year who gave a critical boost to the ravaged economy, so let's hope that Greece loves them back so that a kiss is more than just a kiss.
