Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, will visit Paris on December 12 and 13, 2022, to attend a Business Forum jointly organized by the Hellenic-French Chamber of Commerce Industry, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and the Greek Government, with the aim of promoting Greek-French economic cooperation. This is an initiative launched in 2020 aimed at expanding Greek-French cooperation in a number of critical sectors of the economy and promoting joint ventures between Greek and French enterprises. In the context of the 2020 Forum, a Letter of Intent was signed by the responsible Ministers of Finance, Development, and Investment of the two countries, which is expected to be updated during this year's Forum. The Ministers of Finance Christos Staikouras, Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, National Defence Nikos Panagiotopoulos, Transport, and Infrastructure Kostas Karamanlis, Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Yannis Plakiotakis, and Digital Governance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis will also participate in the Forum, as will the Deputy Minister of Tourism Sofia Zacharaki and the Secretary-General for Energy and Mineral Resources, Alexandra Sdoukou. More than 30 Greek enterprises from the shipping, energy, construction, pharmaceutical, and technology sectors will also join the business delegation. On the sidelines of the Forum, Deputy Minister K. Fragogiannis will hold a bilateral meeting with the French Minister in charge of Foreign Trade Olivier Becht, with whom he will discuss concrete proposals for further strengthening bilateral economic relations.
