Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Bolaris today met with Rabbi Gabriel M.I. Negrin at the Chief Rabbinate of Athens. He was briefed on issues related to the establishment, history, and functioning of the Athens Jewish Community. The prospects and possibilities were discussed for developing synergies with the Greek Government pertaining to the life and the activity of the Athens Jewish Community, to the cooperation with the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece, as well as to Israel, with regard to religious and cultural issues.
