Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos’ Speech at the business conference between Greece-Serbia (Thessaloniki, 19 March 2018)

“Greece has been and continues to be a key player in the Balkans, both on a financial and a political level. The return of the Greek economy to new levels of growth and the corresponding course of the Serbian economy create the conditions for strengthening of our financial relations and long-term promotion of stability, prosperity, and further enhancement of relations between our two countries,” Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgos Katrougalos, stressed during his speech at today's business conference between Greece and Serbia, in Thessaloniki.Mr. Katrougalos added that “Greece is a key supporter of Serbia's European perspective and that of the other Western Balkan countries,” highlighting that “there is a great deal of room for further promotion of mutual investments and increased bilateral commercial transactions in areas such as tourism, energy, construction, information technology and software, pharmaceuticals, and agri-food products.”  The business conference was organised by the Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Greek Embassy in Belgrade, “Enterprise Greece,” and the Hellenic-Serbian Chamber of Greece. Eighty Serbian and 150 Greek companies participated in the conference.
