The 10 most important things in the world right now

Hello! Here's what you need to know for Friday. 1. Chinese hackers reportedly stole data from up to 4 million US federal employees. The Obama administration is scrambling to assess the impact of an unprecedented data breach. 2. The Football Association of Ireland CEO, John Delaney, confirmed that the body accepted a €5 million (£3.67 million) payment from FIFA for FAI to not pursue legal action against it in 2010. There will be a press conference at 11 a.m. BST today (6 a.m. ET) on the subject. 3. The British Chambers of Commerce on Friday cut its forecast for Britain's economic growth in 2015. The BCC said the economy will expand 2.3% this year, down from its previous projection of 2.7%. 4. Greece is still hurtling toward financial calamity. On Thursday, the IMF agreed to allow Greece to delay a payment due Friday until later this month. 5. A Chinese cruise ship, which was carrying 456 people, overturned in a freak tornado on Monday, and the death toll has now reached 82. The rescue mission has become an operation to recover hundreds of bodies from the ship.   6. Britain's former Chancellor Lord Lawson said Prime Minister David Cameron is unlikely to achieve anything of significance as he seeks to renegotiate the UK's EU membership. He told the BBC: "I think it's likely that the changes that David Cameron will secure will be inconsequential, of no significance at all.... but given the authority he has and the lack of a credible opposition leader I think it will be the same result." 7. The Islamic State terror group is pushing toward Aleppo in Syria. And the jihadists are seemingly aided by air strikes from the regime of dictator Bashar Assad. 8. Facebook is in a row with a British charity over a sobbing baby video clip and now the UK government is getting involved. The social media network refused to remove a clip from its site, which the NSPCC said showed a "terrified, sobbing baby" being repeatedly dunked into a bucket of water. 9. Marvel's 'Star Wars' comic just made a huge change to Han Solo – he got a wife. Marvel's "Star Wars" comic book series by Jason Aaron, John Cassaday, and Laura Martin was one of the biggest comics of the year when it launched at the beginning of 2015. 10. Famous business tycoon and former Australian of the Year Alan Bond has died aged 77, following complications from heart surgery he underwent earlier this week. He was famous for bankrolling the successful bid for the 1983 America's Cup, setting up various huge businesses, before being declared bankrupt, going to prison for fraud, only to reemerge in 2008 with $265 million fortune. And finally ...
