by  Associated Press Greek ultra-right lawmaker on trial over TV talk show slap Associated Press - 6 March 2015 09:51-05:00 ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A lawmaker from a Nazi-inspired Greek party, who achieved notoriety for assaulting two female left-wing colleagues during a live TV talk show, has gone on trial over the incident. An Athens court is expected to rule Friday on grievous bodily harm charges against Ilias Kassidiaris, one of several Golden Dawn lawmakers in pre-trial custody on separate charges for allegedly running a criminal organization. Footage from the June 2012 show showed Kassidiaris repeatedly slapping one woman and throwing a glass of water at another before running away. The attack followed an exchange of verbal abuse. If convicted Friday, Kassidiaris faces a minimum three-month prison sentence. About 100 supporters of Golden Dawn — now Greece's third largest party — gathered outside the courthouse in a show of support.
