Greek unemployment rate in 2014 stood at 16.1% in comparison to 15.9% in 2013 while for the fourth quarter of 2014 was at 16%, according to the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus. According to the Labour Force Survey results for the fourth quarter of 2014, the number of employed persons amounted to 368.772 (186.871 males and 181.901 females) and the number of unemployed persons stood at 70.267 (37.941 males and 32.326 females). The employment rate for persons aged 20-64 was at 68.4% (71.9% males and 65.2% females) recording an increase from the previous quarter of 2014 (67.9%) and the corresponding quarter of 2013 (67.0%). The unemployment rate amounted to 16.0% of the labor force (16.9% males and 15.1% females), remaining at the same level as the previous quarter of 2014 (16.0%) and the corresponding quarter of 2013 (16.0%).
