British Finance Minister George Osborne late on Monday spoke of the increasing danger of a miscalculation leading to a “very bad outcome” between Greece and the euro zone, Bloomberg reports. Speaking in an interview with Bloomberg Television, the British official said, “It’s clear that the risks to the world economy, the risk to the British economy of this standoff between the euro zone and Greece, is growing each day.” “The risks of a miscalculation or a misstep leading to a very bad outcome are growing as well,” Osborne told Bloomberg. Greece is going to the emergency Eurogroup on February 12 in order to propose a “bridge program” for its state debt, despite warnings from its international lenders that Athens should remain in the existing bailout program.
