Xeros Caught in the Midst of Planning Bombs for Pre-election Terrorist Hits

Arrested terrorist Christodoulos Xeros was in the midst of planning several bomb attacks on politicians, judges and financiers, according to a Greek police report. In one of Xeros’ hideouts in Loutraki, police found 45 explosive mechanisms inside Tupperware containers and names and addresses of targets. The plan of the “November 17″ terrorist was to orchestrate the escape of the leadership team of terrorist group “The Cells of Fire Conspiracy” from Korydallos prison and then conduct several terrorist hits with their assistance. The attacks would take place during the pre-election period. The explosive mechanisms found are similar to the ones used by “November 17″ in the past. They are the kind of trapped mechanisms that Xeros used to construct and use. They were either made by Xeros himself, or someone put them together under his instructions. Along with hand-written notes, addresses and sketches were found which helped the counter-terrorism unit of the Greek Police compose the outline of the terrorist’s plan. Given the quantity and strength of the explosives, police said that the hits would be huge and would probably cost the lives of several politicians, judges and prominent finance figures in Greece. Meanwhile, the counter-terrorism unit continues to search for the hideout terrorists would use to organize their plans after the escape. Information has directed them to the Daphne neighborhood of Athens. Allegedly, police have footage of “Angeliki,” a “Cells of Fire” female member, coming out of the Daphne metro station twice. Police believe that “Angeliki” is looking for a hideout there and are visiting local apartments that are up for rent and showing her picture. Police are also looking for “Theocharis,” the man who rented Xeros’ hideout in Anavyssos. They believe they are close to identifying him as a man who has a history of previous troubles with the law for drug possession.
