On Wednesday night U.S. President Barack Obama congratulated new Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on his victory over the phone. According to sources from the government headquarters in Athens, Greece, the U.S. President declared his support on European efforts to leave austerity policies behind in order to enhance growth, while he promised a cooperation between the Finance Ministers on the matter.
