Potami party leader Stavros Theodorakis late on Monday, speaking to Mega TV, said he is in favour of the election of a President “now” and general elections being carried out in November 2015. According to Mega TV website, Theodorakis commenting on SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras’ statement that “Potami (river) was founded to water the memorandum fields” said: “Potami was not founded to water old fields; it was founded to water new productive fields. The country’s old fields, New Democracy, PASOK and SYRIZA probably do not need watering; they probably need plowing because they are full of weeds and brambles.” He stressed that his party would seek post-election cooperation with any party, but cleared out that he does not want to be a minister in case of a coalition government in Greece. Theodorakis also said that the country cannot raise a debt haircut issue right now. (source: ana-mpa)
