According to figures by the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, 631,344 Greeks have visited Turkey so far this year, showing the largest growth rate among European visitors (24 percent). At the same time, a record high number of Turkish tourists will visit Greece by the end of the year. Greek Ministry of Tourism officials estimate that by the end of 2014, the number of Turkish visitors to Greece will reach one million. Meanwhile, Turkey expects to welcome 800,000 Greeks by the end of the year.
