Two young men were found dead inside a gorge in Kardamyli, Peloponnese on Tuesday. Greek Police said that their bodies were riddled with bullets. The two men, a 25-year-old and a 26-year-old, were with friends in Kardamyli and at around 1:30 am on Tuesday they announced that they are going to Kalamata, Greece, by motorcycle to take care of some business. After that, they disappeared and their families notified the Kalamata police. A special police unit with a dog searched the area between Kardamyli and Kalamata and found the bodies of the two men a day later. Forensics examinations showed that the victims were violently beaten and shot to death by hunting rifles, and then their bodies were thrown in the gorge. Police suspect the murder took place elsewhere and then the killers carried and threw the bodies in the gorge. They also suspect it was a mafia-style execution. The motorcycle they were riding has not been found yet. One of the two men had a Facebook profile stating that he worked as a nutrition consultant and had photographs of himself tattooed with nazi and nationalistic slogans all over his body.
