by  Associated Press Greek FM jet makes safe unscheduled landing Associated Press - 29 August 2014 04:37-04:00 ATHENS, Greece (AP) — A government jet carrying the Greek foreign minister to Italy has made a safe unscheduled landing in northern Greece due to a crack in a cockpit window. The foreign ministry says the problem occurred at 37,000 feet, and the plane carrying Evangelos Venizelos diverted to the Greek city of Thessaloniki, the closest airport. Venizelos had been flying Friday from Turkey to Milan, where he is to attend a European Union foreign ministers' meeting.
