Greek Band Locomondo and Greenpeace Sing for the Bees

The popular Greek Ska-Reggae band Locomondo joined powers with Greenpeace to support bees in Greece, which are seriously decreasing in number. Paraphrasing the well-known phrase from Shakespeare’s play “Hamlet” they named their witty song “To bee or not to bee?.” Locomondo wrote a brand new song to make an environmental statement on the extinction bees face in Greece. Alongside the song, came a fresh, spring video clip, which was released on May 2. On Saturday, May 10, Greenpeace organized a bee festival in the Environmental Awareness Park of Antonis Tritsis in Athens. Plenty of activities took place in the festival, including the creation of a refugee garden for the bees, picnics and music concerts from the Greek band, MELISSES.
