16 Migrants Arrested by Greek Coast Guard off Chios

Greek coast guards rescued and arrested sixteen migrants off the island of Chios in the Aegean Sea. Greek authorities were also able to capture the person who was trafficking migrants within the country’s borders. The sixteen migrants had no documents and are expected to be transferred to Chios general hospital to be examined medically. A preliminary coast guard investigation is underway in Chios, authorities having seized the boat carrying the migrants during the arrest.
