GREECE: Greece suspends state broadcaster

Greece gradually pulled state broadcaster ERT off air late on Tuesday as part of efforts to streamline the organisation, including laying off 2,500 staff. Downsizing public institutions is one of the requirements of Greece's €130 billion EU bailout.
