Where the Romance of Padlocks Began

Padlocks have been showing up on bridges around the world as tokens of couples' promises to safeguard their love. It's a growing tradition that began on a Serbian bridge before World War I when a teacher named Nada and a soldier named Relja pledged their devotion. But Relja fell in love again while fighting in Greece and since then couples go to the bridge to lock up their love.
