Greek FinMin Varoufakis to Meet With OECD Secretary General in Paris

Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis will meet with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Secretary General, Angel Gurria, in Paris on Wednesday afternoon, Greece’s Finance Ministry announced. Varoufakis and Gurria will discuss a wide range of issues that include reforms in retail, construction, banking, one-stop shops, the labor market, State commissions and mechanisms to battle corruption. According to the Ministry, given the government’s desire for deep reforms in cooperation with international institutions that have the expertise and capability to monitor their implementation and who are helping the government’s reform policy, the Minister’s meeting with the Secretary General takes place at a crucial time in the country’s reform path. Varoufakis will stop in Paris on his way to Luxembourg, where the Eurogroup will convene. (source: ana-mpa)
