by Andy Carling The European Commission president has congratulated Alexis Tsipras on his election win, on his and the institution's behalf and says he looks forward to working with him. "I remember well when we met during the TV debate organised by the European Broadcasting Union at the European Parliament during the European electoral campaign last year," he said a letter addressed to President Tsipras. Juncker continues, "Promoting sustainable jobs and growth, while ensuring fiscal responsibility, is a common challenge across the European Union. The European Commission stands ready to continue assisting Greece in achieving these goals." He concludes by saying, "I look forward to working with you for the benefit of the citizens of Greece and the European Union."
