Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs I. Amanatidis visits Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece (Athens, 25 October 2017)

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Amanatidis was received today, Wednesday, 25 October 2017, by His Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, at the Archbishopric of Athens.The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs briefed His Beatitude on the proceedings of the 2nd Athens International Conference on “Religious and Cultural Pluralism and Peaceful Coexistence in the Middle East,” which is being held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 30 and 31 October 2017, as the assistance of the Archbishopric of Athens and the Church of Greece is decisive in carrying out the interfaith dialogue.Under the guidance of His Beatitude Ieronymos, the Church of Greece has undertaken important initiatives in the context of the interfaith dialogue, including social actions aimed at confronting the refugee crisis; actions that have been recognized both in Greece and internationally.
