Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will participate in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum to be held in the last half of June, confirmed Greek parliament president Zoi Konstantopoulou to Russian News Agency TASS. “The prime minister informed me that we will be in St. Petersburg from 18-20 June” stated Konstantopoulou to TASS. The Russian news agency said that the invitation was conveyed by the Russian president during Tsipras’ visit to Moscow on April 7 during their meeting at the Kremlin. Tsipras is expected to be one of the honored political leaders of the Forum. The Forum is held annually under the auspices of the Russian presidency in President Putin’s home city.
